Current synoptic Situation:

                   

    A strong low pressure area present over North Iran and its extended trough grip up western parts of the country.

          

Outlook:

    A westerly weather system likely to affect most parts of the country during next 24 -48 hours and likely to remain during 07th to 08th February 2010.

       

Islamabad:

    Rain with thunderstorm expected in period during 05th to 8th February 2010.

       

Punjab: 

    Scattered rain (with snowfall in Murree) likely in upper parts of the province during 05th to 8th February 2010. However southern parts of the province may also receive rain during 07th and 08th February 2010.

 

NWFP: 

    Scattered rain with snowfall over the hills likely in most parts of the province during 05th to 8th February 2010.

   

Sindh:

    Dry weather is expected in most parts of the province during next two days. However isolated rain may occur at a few places of province during 07th (Night) & 08th February 2010.

 

Balochistan:

    Rain with snowfall over the hills expected in most parts of the province during 05th to 07th February 2010.

 

Kashmir & Gilgit-Baltistan:

    A westerly weather system likely to affect Balochistan from 4th February 2010(Night) and during next 24 hours it extend to other parts of the country.

       

Islamabad:

    Rain with thunderstorm expected in period during 05th to 8th February 2010.

       

Punjab: 

    Scattered rain with snowfall in gilliyat likely in upper parts of the province during 05th to 8th February 2010. However southern parts of the province may also receive rain during 07th and 08th February 2010.

    Scattered rain with snowfall over the hills likely in most parts of the province during 05th to 8th February 2010.
